My name is Ralph Bristol and I’m running for Mayor of Nashville

I never dreamed this would happen, but it did, and right now, I’m very excited about the possibilities to reform both campaigning for and running local government.

My name is Ralph Bristol and I’m running for Mayor of Nashville in the Special Election to replace Megan Barry.

Here are some of the reasons:

  • Light Rail is a very bad, expensive plan for Nashville. Nashville voters are going to reject light rail, and they need a mayor who will not operate as a sore loser.
  • Nashville City Government needs to operate under a very bright light in order to regain the confidence of the people. It should do so anyway.
  • I, more than any candidate in the race, welcome that bright light.
  • I will not dodge interviews with hostile media. I will invite media representatives to maintain a constant presence in the Mayor’s Office.
  • I will attend frequent listening sessions with Community Groups, upon their invitation.
  • I will conduct most of my business as mayor in an open office, with media access, including most phone calls.
  • I will explain all my decisions fully to as many people, groups and media as possible.
  • If you want open government, vote for Ralph Bristol for Mayor of Nashville in the Special Election to replace Megan Barry.

I don’t live in Davidson county, but I do wish you all the best . You would for sure be my candidate. Miss hearing you on the radio. Best of luck.
